Building a Skilled Cyber Security Workforce in Europe

An increasing number of cybersecurity incidents and stronger awareness of the associated risks has led to growing demand for cybersecurity skills. Based on an analysis of cybersecurity demand in France, Germany and Poland our webinar on 4 March 2024 looked at the growing needs for cyber security skills and different strategies to address them.

Iván Bornacelly (OECD) presented main findings from recently published OECD report on the topic. Pierluigi Delgiudice (ReDI in Cyberspace), Aneta Legenza (EY Cybersecurity Poland), Lars Rabe (Digital Vikings, Germany) and Raphaela Schätz (Cybersecurity Training Lab, Fraunhofer Academy) then discussed the scope of the skills shortages, how to incentivize people to take up cyber security training and who is best placed to provide such trainings. Nicola Brandt (OECD) moderated the event.
